Description
Donner Lake holds a special place in the hearts of many of us who have revered it’s natural beauty, played on and in it’s spectacular crisp, clear waters, hiked and climbed it’s surrounding majestic granite ridges and walls, or skied it’s incredible steep slopes and couloirs. It truly is one of a kind in our beloved Sierra. I created this sculptural pendant to celebrate our love for this spectacular treasure, with the lake itself and all of it’s shoreline landmarks we all love, along with it’s beautiful close surrounding ridgelines, valleys and ravines. I created a graceful repeating pattern of lapping wavelets around the perimeter of the piece, emulating the lake’s texture in the summer afternoons when the winds come racing down the canyon from the Donner Crest, culminating in a pinecone at the East shore, just as they drift to this beach all throughout the summer and fall.
FeaturesThe jewelry art photographed is virtually the same as the piece I will ship with very minor variations due to the natural materials I create this piece with.
