The Jewel of the Sierra
The perfect gift for everyone who loves the Lake Tahoe/Truckee region. This beautiful pendant has been designed and hand crafted by Craig Threshie in his Truckee studio, and each piece is signed by the artist. Through the “lost wax” method, The Jewel of the Sierra has been meticulously sculpted in solid Sterling Silver to depict Lake Tahoe and all of it’s magnificent surrounding mountains, lakes (including Donner Lake), and the Truckee River.
Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay, Fallen Leaf Lake, Marlette Lake and Spooner Lake have all been sculpted into the composition to be characterized by a gorgeous natural gemstone of either Lapis Lazuli, Blue Tigers Eye, Turquoise, and now Blue Lace Agate.
You can pick which kind of natural gemstone you would like for yours.
The Jewel of the Sierra comes with a solid sterling silver chain, one millimeter thick with a lobster clasp. The standard chain length is 18”, and the piece is also available with a 16” or a 20” chain at no additional cost. The bail has been designed to accept larger chains up to at least 3mm and larger depending upon the shape, for a more substantial look. As with all Jewels of the Reef jewelry, the piece comes in a beautiful blue jewelry box with a white satin interior for a great gift presentation.
The Jewel of the Sierra is available exclusively through The Carmel Gallery in beautiful historic downtown Truckee. The Carmel Gallery is located at 9940 Donner Pass Road, just east of the Truckee Hotel. The gallery can be reached at 530-582-0557 for telephone orders and is open daily from 11:00 to 5:00.
